Roger Lent is a versatile, seasoned jazz musician at home with the piano and the trumpet.  He is based in New York City and has performed throughout North America and many European countries.  He has appeared at Jazz@Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, The Montreal Jazz Festival, Ottawa Jazz Festival, The Aspen Jazz Festival, The Edinburgh Jazz Festival, ‘Ronnie Scotts’ in London and major jazz clubs and performing arts centers around the United States.  From 2011 until 2020, Roger worked as a pianist for the Off Broadway show "Sleep No More' in NYC.

He earned a bachelor's degree in music at the University of North Texas and a master's degree in music at Rutgers University with full scholarship and teaching assistantship.   Since 2011 he has studied intensively with the master artist teacher, William Daghlian.
